ABC Teachers, part of TES, is seeking an experienced HE Learning Support Assistant to work in a post 16 setting with students with Special Educational Needs. The role is part time, 20 hours per week and will start ASAP.
You will support students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities both academically and holistically. Work with students in classroom settings and on work placements to help build their independence and confidence in leaving education. This role is part-time, 20 hours per week and is due to start ASAP until July 2021, with the potential to extend.
A higher education setting for post 16 aged students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Based centrally in Telford and is easily accessible from Telford, Shropshire, Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. The setting is well-established with a wide range of specialist facilities.
To be considered for the HE Learning Support Assistant position, you will:
Have previous experience working with students with special educational needs.
Have suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND, this is highly desirable.
Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly built rapport with students.
Be available for part time work, 20 hours per week across 4 days.
Able to obtain suitable references and DBS check.
