The Role

As the Group Energy Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for procuring the best possible deals for energy & utilities for the Babcock Group and have a big hand in contributing towards our goal of achieving net zero.

Day to day, you'll be providing energy and environmental management services and supporting the delivery of Net Zero across the organisation.
Provide leadership, direction and guidance to support the delivery of Net Zero
Identification and delivery of decarbonisation initiatives
Undertake energy audits across an estate and lead on business case development
Utilities procurement, including liaison with Energy Procurement consultant and suppliers
Monitoring energy usage across the organisation including all built estate and transport
Advise business units on Energy Management delivery to end customers

Experience Required
Demonstrate knowledge and application of energy management skills
Demonstrate knowledge and application of BMS and energy management software
Sound understanding of the energy procurement market
Extensive knowledge of energy legislation, including EPBD, ESOS SECR
Excellent oral and written communication skills

This role is set up to be hybrid working with a mixture of office, home and periodic travel

Qualifications Required
Educated to relevant degree level is preferable
Member of the energy institute or CIBSE

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
