Job Description

An award winning practice in Gloucester is now looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their expanding, busy team. This business has a number of talented engineers in the business and has a solid pipeline stretching in to 2018. They have a huge amount of work on at the moment which comes from a variety of backgrounds. These projects are largely local, as such this role would suit someone who is looking to make a significant contribution to the local community and who is keen to positive impact on development in the South West.

This role would be ideal for candidates who have a degree relating to the design of building structures and are comfortable running their own small projects while assisting on larger schemes. Concrete frame experience is essential for this role. This role will give you the opportunity to work across a number of sectors including:

• Commercial

• Industrial

• Retail
• Healthcare
• Leisure

Responsibilities will include:
  • · Being point of contact with clients, contractors and architects
  • · Hands on design of building structures in all traditional materials
  • · Taking projects from inception to completion and aiding in their timely delivery
  • · Duties revolving around BIM software such as Tekla and Revit Structure
  • · Gradual introduction to senior responsibilities as you progress
You will be reporting to the office’s Principal Engineer and will have a clear path of progression laid out for you.  You will be fully supported while working towards chartered status with the ICE or IStructE. This office is based in pleasant surroundings in a convenient location with free parking
