Are you a talented Graduate Quantity Surveyor looking for a challenging and diverse new role within a top consultancy?

One of Europe’s leading privately owned Construction Cost and Property Consultants are seeking an ambitious, energetic Graduate Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant to join their busy Birmingham office.

This national firm has over one hundred years experience in the industry, successfully delivering a range of professional services to an impressive client base. They have a varied portfolio of projects that cover most sectors; including Retail, Industrial, Commercial, Education, Leisure and Infrastructure. The company invests in their people who define the values of the business to ensure that their clients receive exceptional standards of service.

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor your responsibilities will include the provision of full Quantity Surveying services to clients on a variety of developments nationally, while under the guidance of an experienced Senior Surveyor.  You will provide both pre and post contract advice covering areas of procurement, design, risk, cost planning and project management.

The successful Graduate Quantity Surveyor will hold a relevant construction degree and ideally have some experience/working knowledge. Ideally this experience will have been gained within a consultancy environment.  You must have a good understanding of the APC process and the desire to become a Chartered professional.

You will have the ambition and drive to deliver a high quality professional service, with excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels; you must be confident client facing.  You will have effective problem solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions, be a good team worker, with the ability to work with the minimum of supervision using your own initiative with a flexible approach to work with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
