To support the TSS Tewkesbury design and engineering team adapting and developing new and innovative products to support the growth of our diverse and dynamic business. Design and development work will cover all market segments across Aerospace and Industrial.
This post offers exposure to a wide range of applications and design technologies with applications and developments at the forefront of elastomer technology.
Tasks and Responsibilities

*Conceptualize, design and develop proposals for new elastomer products for applications across our application segments.
*Re-engineer existing products to improve overall performance
*Establish and implement project task objectives and ensure completion of projects from initiation to delivery
*Work effectively as part of a cross functional team, both internally and globally
*Play a developing role in both internal and external technical meetings
*Support the investigations of alternative designs , processes and technologies and their implementation into the business.
*Provide engineering support to the Commercial Buyers
*Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process
Education and Experience
Specify what level of education is needed (secondary school, technical school, university, master, PHD, etc). Define how many years' relevant working experience is required and which type of experience.
*Minimum Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Design / Production )
*Experience working in a highly regulated environment under a Quality Management System.
*Experience with production process steps and quality assurance.
*Preferably you will have a well founded knowledge of polymer characteristics, aerospace engineering and technologies.
Define specific competencies needed. (Examples: negotiation skills, programming skills, coaching, budgeting, problem solving etc). Look at the Leadership profile.
*Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
*Good interpersonal and communication skills
*Work independently, innovatively and creatively with mininmal supervision
