Customer Service Specialist (German speaking)

The Company - Based in new offices in Basingstoke, we are working with this organisation who are a recognised leader in their field and through aquisitions and product innovation are playing a critical role in the current circumstances surrounding Covid-19.  

The Role of Customer Service Specialist (German speaking)

Responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and managing all aspects of the order process, including price quotations, placing orders, backorder statistics, backorder communication (internal, external) and the handling of returned goods. Conduct first level product support to customers and channel all customer communication both for internal and external parties.

The German speaking Customer Service Specialist will work with Commercial, Finance and European distribution personnel on all aspects of the Company’s sales cycle.

Duties include:

Manage key customers for the business ensuring excellent service delivery at all times and attending face to face meetings with customers on a regular basis
Receive and handle telephone enquiries from customers. Ensure that product alternatives are offered where necessary
Manage group mailbox ensuring that all orders are placed on a daily basis and all queries dealt with in a timely manner
Process credit notes as required relating to price or delivery discrepancy’s
Ensure all customer feedback is logged immediately, tickets followed up and customer receives timely feedback on SAP.
Liaise with appropriate warehouse personnel in respect of product distribution, shipping, lead time and product returns
Provide prompt and accurate feedback to the Customer Service Team Leader on any specific issues as they arise
Liaise with other internal departments in respect of resolving customer enquiries
Build and maintain strong working relationships with Customers, the Commercial team and all other internal functions
Cover for other team members as required (cross country cover required)
Ensure daily statistics are submitted in a timely manner
Ensure all work instructions are kept updated as required

Essentials - experience as above in a strong customer service role with SAP skills.

Hours - full time hours to start in June/July - current company working remotely and would embrace remote working at the time of commencement if required.

The role is a temporary/contract for 12 months with 1-1 Recruitment and the organisation, however, there is a strong possibility of permanent role in the future.
