General Manager - Food-led Pub - Winchester - Circa £35k

The role:

A General Manager is required for this high end food-led pub in central Winchester. This pub is part of a small group that believes in excellent food and great customer service. The pub serves fresh food and tasty cocktails. They are looking for an enthusiastic General Manager to take the pub to the next level. The successful candidate will work 5/7 days to include evenings and weekends.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Hands on management of the food-led pub
  • Serve food and cocktails
  • Back office tasks including stock management
  • Run shifts and be customer focused at all times
  • Develop and train the team
  • Instil ideas to drive the business forward
  • Implement marketing ideas including promotions
  • Deal with customer queries and complaints

What you need to get the job:

  • Experience at General Manager level
  • Ideally from a quality food led pub environment
  • Some rooms knowledge is advantageous
  • Big personality
  • Good P&L understanding
  • Energised to bring in new business
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
