General Hand & Storekeeper
HMS Sultan, Gosport (Hants.)

About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a General Hand & Storekeeper to join the team.

You will ensure the training area is kept clean and tidy at all times; including floors, benches, machinery (lathes, welding equipment, Mills) and other related other areas / equipment. You will also manage the resource and output for the issue centres and be part of the duty lock-up roster to ensure building security.

Further responsibilities include issuing tools from stores when requested in line with training requirements, and maintaining supplies of soap and protective creams within the designated areas in the workshop buildings ensuring Company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.

This position has an excellent work/life balance with an early finish on Fridays.

What do I need to do the role?

You will have good telephone and customer liaison skills, and are able to deal with working in a busy and dynamic environment.

You will also be numerate, IT Literate and demonstrate a methodical/neat approach.
