Job Description

I am seeking a competent EHO for a client in Scotland to help out their EH team for a lengthy period of time. The contract is to commence as soon as possible. Initally the EHO will be required to deliver prevention work and response to any possible coronavirus outbreaks across the council's district and also to help out with routine EHO work. On site work is required.

Essential;

EHO qualified to EHORB level or
Experience of interpreting and implementing health and safety legislation and good practice in a commercial setting.
General EH experience across EP & Housing (Desirable)
Experience of enforcing health and safety regulation with an enforcing authority.
Car driver / car available

Requirements

37-45 hours per week (full time)
Flexible working days
Remote working
Authorised to take enforcement action
Travel and subsistence paid for travel within the district

Main Responsibilities

Provide covid-19 advice and support to all businesses
Review covid-19 risk assessments
Food Safety Inspections (where possible) - A-E inspections
H&S complaints
Inspect and spot check businesses to ensue covid-19 measures are in place
Support any incidences of local outbreaks as required
Liaise with each council and across district
Liaise with partners including Public Health.
