Job Description

A large services business based near Fareham (easily commutable from Southampton and Portsmouth areas) is recruiting a Fixed Assets Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract basis to cover an internal secondment.

The key activities of the Fixed Assets Accountant include:

• Managing the fixed asset register
• Preparing Fixed Asset Journals and calculating depreciations
• Producing interim accounts, including tax schedules and statutory disclosures
• Production of balance sheet reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
• Supporting the preparation of annual statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors
• Providing technical accounting guidance to the finance teams
• Accounting and systems process improvements

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable experience in a similar fixed assets focussed role.
