The Finance Analyst role is based within our Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) business unit.

Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, with our largest site being Lakeside in Portsmouth, but we operate from multiple sites around the world. BCS supplies and operates all IT, security, procurement, and finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships that support delivery to our customers. We drive standardisation, simplification and automation across Babcock, to help generate sustainable value for the group and our external customers.

As a Finance Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll use your skills and experience to drive innovative thinking and lead the way in industry best practices. Your work will directly impact both internal and external stakeholders, and you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll be at the forefront of our new Cash Insight process, leveraging your expertise to provide meaningful, accurate data that drives Group liquidity and performance. You'll also be responsible for delivering targeted, value-added short-term cash insight reporting to key decision makers, making a real impact on the direction of the company. Essential Experience
Experience in understanding and manipulating data to present clear and concise financial messages for review
Experience of Finance IT applications (e.g., SAP, Navision, IFS etc.)
Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Outlook
Part qualified accountant as a minimum - funding support offered if completing qualifications
Technical finance skills - proven ability to understand and interpret accounting principles (being able to explain technical accounting to non-technical, non-financial staff) is desirable
Successful candidates will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance
