I am a physically disabled woman living in my own family home, in New Ash Green (near Longfield/Dartford, Kent) and I value my independence.
Two positions have become available on my dedicated team of female carers. The shifts run Monday to Sunday. We are looking for two candidates who will job share with a weekly rota ensuring neither work every weekend, or alternatively one candidate for weekdays and one candidate for weekends.
I am looking for local people who are enthusiastic, physically fit, good communicators, who have a positive outlook, and experience of supporting someone who has a physical disability.
These positions would suit someone who would enjoy working in a small friendly family environment, who has relevant experience and is looking for some extra shifts.
As I live in a village with poor public transport links, you will need to be a car driver - unless you live reasonably close to New Ash Green.
There is also the possibility of covering other shifts when my other carers are on annual leave or on sick leave.
Shifts Available:- (these are 4 hour shifts)
* Sat & Sun Evening: 8.00pm - 12 midnight (£11.22 per hour)
* Mon- Fri Evening: 8.00pm - 12 midnight (£10.72 per hour)
NB: These short shifts involve working with another member of my team to help me get to bed.
Some of the activities associated with this role are as follows:
* Helping prepare my room for my night time routine.
* A range of personal care tasks (for which you will receive full training).
* Helping me with my evening routine and getting me ready for bed.
* Using a ceiling hoist to get me into bed (training provided).
* Helping me to get comfortable.
NB: During the current Coronavirus situation extra training and relevant PPE supplies will be provided in order to keep staff safe.
