Defence Equipment

The Facilities Manager role is based within our Defence Equipment business area.

Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.

The difference our new Facilities Manager will make

As a Facilities Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll provide operational delivery of a first class Facilities management service.

Day to day, you'll work with site heads and operations staff to ensure Facilities Management (FM) services support the delivery of the core output of sites, develop strong relationships with suppliers, site occupants, stakeholders and other members of the FM team, carry out day to day management and oversight of specialist sub-contractors and carry out site based monthly / quarterly reviews as required.

You'll also ensure that the management of contractors on sites is in accordance with policy & procedure, provide assistance to the compliance team to ensure that all service providers are statutory and contractually compliant.

Essential experience
Proven facilities management experience
Commercial acumen knowledge
Ability to work on own
Excellent communication written and verbal
You must hold or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance
