Vehicle Engineering

The MIG Fabricator Welder role is based within our Vehicle Engineering business area.

Vehicle Engineering is a market-leading manufacturer and converter of armoured vehicles and products. Drawing on over 100 years' experience, we supply and support deployed vehicles worldwide to customers including the police, fire and ambulance services, civil service, and military. Together, we deliver an end-to-end through-life methodology to supply our clients with specialist vehicle conversions.

The role

The difference our new MIG Fabricator Welder will make

As a MIG Fabricator Welder, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be involved in the construction of bespoke fabrications for installation into motor vehicles using various types of machinery, metals and welding techniques.

Day to day you will be working in a high intensity fast paced production, working on fabrication of components and welding and working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials

We offer flexible working to give people more options to better integrate their work and personal life, whilst ensuring that business needs are met. This role is based onsite at Walsall. Working hours will be as follows: 40 hours per week 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am till 1pm Friday.

Experience

Essential:
MIG qualifications OR relevant fabrication/welding experience.

Desirable and not essential:
GCSE in English and Mathematics Grade C/4
Experience working in an armoured vehicle environment.
Experience of working in a high-pressure time sensitive commercially driven environment.
Knowledge of quality & environmental standards and processes
