In these extraordinary times of the coronavirus outbreak telent is continuing to Recruit. We provide services to customers which are integral to providing mission critical systems and infrastructure across the UK and Ireland and we need to continue to deliver those services.
To help limit the amount of face to face contact during the recruitment process, we will now do more online assessments and use Skype/Conf Calls for interviews wherever possible.
Senior Network (F5 technologies) Consultant required to be responsible for the successful delivery of a high availability Network. Ensuring that the network infrastructure is performing as required for customer SLA guarantees and expectations by means of specific metrics and measurements. You will conduct technology and network assessments, including solutions to enhance the network by integrating multiple technologies and managing implementations by 3rd parties, through commercial agreement until final project completion.
Essential skills and experience
CISSP or equivalent experience/accreditation
F5 CA and/or F5 CTS LTM, ASM, DNS, AFM, APM and we also have a Big-IQ.
Sound experience of enterprise networks
In depth technical knowledge of products and technologies Juniper, Cisco, McAfee, Catalyst 65xx, 38xx Switches, VSS, ASA, WLAN and ISE, Remedy and WAN Acceleration as well as advanced network routing and switching technologies.
Deep understanding of TCP/IP and Routing Protocols - VPNs, QoS, layer 2 and layer 3 VLANS. Concepts include, but not limited to, BGP, OSPF, RIP, HSRP, NAT, 802.1q and 802.1ah
Recent experience with Extreme Networks LAN Switching equipment and an in depth knowledge of LAN/WLAN/WAN support for data and video networks at Access and Core network locations
Network Design Installation, Configuration and Support
Strong working knowledge of structured cabling systems, network facilities,
Ability to create complex meaningful network diagrams using Visio
Understanding and configuration of Network and Telephony Security Principles, have strong planning & time management skills and a good understanding delivering success
