Temporary Exam Invigilators - University of Derby (May 2019)
Blue Arrow Derby are currently looking to recruit a number of temporary exam invigilators to support in May 2019. We are proud to be working in partnership with one of Derby's largest Education providers, our fantastic client - University of Derby.
Please note this is a temporary part-time position taking place for 2 weeks.
Exam Invigilating Dates: Monday 13th May - Friday 24th May 2019.

Full training is provided so no previous invigilating experience is required.
Free on-site parking is available (for training and these 2 weeks only). There is also canteens and other on-site facilities available.
Pay Rate: £9.71 p/h
Located just outside of Derby City Centre, this location would suit anyone with their own transport in Derby or the surrounding areas.
The site is also easily commutable to via bus services, as you can use the University bus services free of charge which run every 10 minutes and go through to all sites, including the Derby bus and train station. There are also alternative bus stops just outside the site.
Training Dates: Wednesday 8th May (PM) OR Thursday 9th May (AM)
You must attend one training session only, and all invigilators (returning and new) must attend this training in order to be able to carry out the invigilating.
Exact time for training sessions to be confirmed, and are paid. They will last approximately last 2-3 hours. Training will consist of PowerPoint presentation, interactive activities and a guided tour around site.
All successful candidates will be required to attend a face to face registration with us at our offices.
Due to the high number of invigilators required, we will be holding group registrations on the below dates and times. The registration process will be around one hour long, and you would be required to attend one of these.
* Thursday 11th April at 10:30am
* Wednesday 17th April at 2:00pm
* Thursday 18th April at 10:30am
* Wednesday 24th April at 2:00pm
If you are successful we will take your preference of training and registration session, and your availability during the registration stage.
Proof of Right to Work must be provided at registration.
About the Role
You would be working as key member of the team alongside experienced invigilators, working within a busy environment.
Duties will include:
* Setting out examination materials
* Monitoring students
* Reporting any disruptions
* Collecting in and sorting exam papers
* Liaising and working with the Exams Team
* Assisting with general admin tasks when necessary
* Excellent communication skills
* Good use of initiative
* Work well as part of a team
* Work well individually
* Previous admin or customer service experience is desirable
* Ability to be flexible and multi-task where required
* Well organised
