Events Sous Chef – Luxury Catering Company – Winchester – £12p/h – Evenings Off

An Events Catering Company which prides itself on an excellent standard of service.

They are currently recruiting for an Events Sous Chef to join the team at their base just outside Winchester.

 

As an Events Sous Chef you will work 5/ out of 7 days, no evenings as standard but clearly as events are booked then evenings will be required.

 

High season runs from April-October so event days will increase.

Due to the location of the Prep Kitchen and with the offsite event days in the Hampshire Area, a driving licence and own car is ESSENTIAL.

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

As an experienced Sous Chef you will be assisting the Head Chef with the full running of the kitchen and Events off-site. Preparing, cooking and presenting food in line with the required standards and ensuring the food is prepped and served in the right manner. The importance of maintaining the quality and good reputation standards along with maintaining the stock levels and compliance with all relevant health and safety guidelines.

 

What You Need To Be a Successful:

 

The ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment showing continuous creativity and keen interest in food and cooking. Have strong communication skills and lead by example for all the junior team members to look up to. To have completed the catering qualifications and completed the health & hygiene certificates will give an advantage however the right on the job past experience may also be looked at.
