Engineering Manager - North West - Permanent

The Client

We have a very exciting opportunity for Engineering Manager to join a large FMCG Food Company who are looking for a strong leader to join the team.

The Role

You will have overall responsibility for maintenance for the full plant, machinery and buildings in line with required standards through effective applications. This role requires someone who can really get the buy in from the team and see's themselves as more of a leader. This role will be working on the companies' biggest site so there is a high level of pressure, they also have a great team environment so you ideally be able to able to work well under high pressure and be able to enjoy the good team environment. This would will be ideal for someone who is direct, straight forward and is able to take feedback from the Factory Manager in s positive way to then be able to resolve the situation with the best possible outcome.

You will need to have experience implementing change and performance management. Fulfilling a key role within part of the site management team, being fully accountable and reporting on assets and ancillary plant downtime across site. Budgetary management/control you will be responsible for the day to day management of the site repair and maintenance (R&M) including internal and external labour budgets. If you have experience with PPM Systems this would be a great added bonus.

Skills required

Proven experience within a fast-paced manufacturing sector

Previous experience in a similar role

Excellent People Skills

Ability to think on your feet and work well under high pressure

Use initiative but also be confidant to ask for help when it is needed.

LEAN/Six Sigma

Open to development and change

Excellent Mechanical Knowledge
