Rail Translink

The Engineer role is based within our Translink business area.


We're working to deliver multi-million-pound rail projects in Northern Ireland through our partnership with the rail operator, Translink. Whether you're a skilled or aspiring rail professional, there are some incredible opportunities.

The role

The difference our new Engineer will make


As an Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will provide provision of technical support to the planning & development manager for the planning and delivery of track renewals ensuring all technical aspects of the works comply with relevant Group and Line Standards and safety legislation.

Day to day, you will carry out surveying and set out duties, carry out control of excavation and construction using traditional and modern equipment, including total stations technology. You will also assist with any technical support to the wider project teams.

Essential experience:
HNC in an Engineering discipline or working towards.
Good IT skills.
Good communication and man management skills.
Able to drive or willing to learn.
PTS and COSS
Good knowledge of track renewals disciplines.
