As part of their exciting plans, the HR Services team structure is growing and strengthening. In order to work closer with the business and employees the team are evolving to become a customer-centric, real time and adaptive team.
You will be seen as the expert in everything ER, whether that be advising on critical decisions in contentious employment law claims or recommending ER related management development requirements.

What will this role involve?
Managing risks and successful resolution of employee relations issues and employment law cases.
Managing Croner's advice line (our third party supplier) and ensure full tripartite interaction with Eversheds, working closely with all parties.
Ensuring 'early warning' system of upcoming legislation and its potential impacts are provided to senior HR team and business leaders.
Ensuring case law updates are provided on a regular basis to HR team to foster increased knowledge.
Identifying employee relation issues with trend analysis, narrative and proposals for review and implementation.
Handling disciplinary, grievances and other employment law related caseloads.
Reviewing policies and procedures and identifying employee relations issues.
Liaising closely with IR for related activities, where applicable.
What skills are we looking for?
Have you got working knowledge of employment tribunal and the interlocutory process? Do you have experience of successfully managing contentious employee relations issues? If yes, apply now!
Our client is seeking an engaging individual with demonstrable ER knowledge particularly on performance management, disciplinary, grievance and discrimination and drafting ET1/3.
Strong knowledge of formulation of employment law and internal employee policy guidelines is a must; as well as the ability to keep ahead of employment policy and legal changes.
Representation experience in employment tribunals is advantageous.
Location information & Salary
This role is based in central Reading with a salary of up to £46k, depending on skills and experience.
