The Electrician role is based within our Defence Training business area.
Defence training stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.
The difference our new Electrician will make
As an Electrician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Working within a Hard Facilities Management setting, you will be dealing with the provision of planned and reactive electrical maintenance to electrical systems and equipment across the RSME at Chatham, in support of the company's contractual and statutory obligations, helping to ensure a safe and cost-effective working environment.
Day to day, you will be providing expert diagnosis of electrical faults, and plan implement and co-ordinate repairs, working in collaboration with maintenance service colleagues.

This is based on site at Chatham with possible travel and support to Minley site as required. You will be provided with a company van and tools in order to carry out your role effectively.
UK driving licence is essential
City & Guilds Electrical Installation 2391 and latest edition wiring regulations qualification (BS7671)
Proven experience in similar working environment as well as experience in producing and evaluating Risk Assessments & Method Statements
Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages (minimum Word & Excel)
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (including Maths & English).
Hold a current CSCS / ECS card or equivalent
Must hold or have the ability to obtain SC Security Clearance
