Job summary

An excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrical Engineer with a Maintenance/Building Services background has risen with NHS Trust in South London.

the role requires both planned and preventative maintenance and installation work.

It is essential you hold the relevant Electrical engineering qualifications with the appropriate certification including proven trade experience.

Strong communication skills and industry knowledge and have obtained 18th Edition or be in the process of it.

To begin with the hours are Monday - Friday (37.5hrs) per week. Standard Rate £17.07 per hour.

Thereafter will be the opportunity to work as shift electrician (4 on/4 off - days/nights) pay rates differ weekend/nights/overtime etc.

Standard DBS Check required

Main duties of the job

Undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvement and minor capital work across the Trust ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
Diagnose and repair faults in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical installations, plant and equipment
Carry out repairs, maintain and efficiently run plant and equipment. Be conversant with various aspects of electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance. Use all relevant tools and equipment. Understand fully the inter-relationship between various maintenance crafts.
Obligation to undertake training where necessary to learn new techniques, specifically in relation to specialised testing and maintenance routines.
Possess the ability to communicate and liaise with all levels of staff on possible technical matters regarding essential maintenance.
