Job Description

Sodexo are looking for an Electrician to join our technical services team in Aberdeen.

Using a Company vehicle, you will travel around the Aberdeen area to deliver projects at client sites with direction and guidance from the Onshore Technical Projects Manager.

Main responsibilities
  • Carry out planned maintenance routines on electrical distribution systems in accordance with Sodexo UK&I procedures and current IEE regulations
  • Document all PPM repairs on report and Select documents
  • Repair/replace defective electrical equipment
  • Provide quantities of materials required for trade and projects
  • Observe all Sodexo UK&I and client safety rules/regulations
  • Maintain good housekeeping safety practices
  • Upkeep and compliance with risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Processing of all paperwork/timesheets
  • Provide on-call cover on a rotation basis
  • Assist with other building services tasks when required- joinery, plumbing, A/C and porterage
Ideal candidate
  • Completed recognized apprenticeship as an electrician with relevant electrical qualifications:
  1. City and Guilds 236 parts 1&2  or equivalent IEE Wiring regulations 17th edition
  2. Inspection and testing City and Guilds 2394 & 2395 or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in building services
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with work colleagues and clients
  • Clean driving license
  • Ability to adapt and meet frequently changing work environment internally and externally
  • Strategic thinker/planner, problem solver and innovator
  • Ability to work without supervision and use own initiative within established procedures and good working practice
