The successful person will report directly to the Engineering Manager and form part of the team who will be carrying out day to day electrical maintenance of the company equipment and machinery in line with servicing schedules and job demand. You will be intrical to the record keeping and organising of the equipment coming in out of the warehouse alongside the warehouse manager and delivery team. This role is varies, fast paced and has plenty of training and upskilling opportunities.
As an electrical engineer your duties will be;
Carry out electrical maintenance and repair of the various machines (temporary access equipment).
Carry out PPM according to the plan
Ensure breakdowns are kept to a minimum
Ensure all work is undertaken with minimal disruption to the day-to-day operations of the company
Comfortable using their own initiative and organising spare parts and materials as required.
Can organise their own workload with the support of the maintenance manager
Log all work carried out onto the maintenance system
I would be keen to receive your application if you hold the following skills and expertise;
It is essential that the right person has machine maintenance experience within a lifting/access equipment environment
A 17th or 18th edition qualification is desirable but not essential.
A basic knowledge of electrical circuits and systems is essential
An understanding of mechanical engineering would be preferable
It is essential that the right person has a can-do attitude, are reliable and be willing to learn.
Our team are creative and very often need to think outside of the box to find solutions. The role will be interesting and diverse, so would ideally suit someone who works well as part of a team.
The role is Monday to Friday 8.00am to 16.00pm. Overtime is available.
We are based in Gravesend so would ideally suit an induvial who holds a full UK driving licence and is capable of commuting to and from the warehouse as there is not public transport available.
