Job Description

Due to continued and significant workload, our client is recruiting an additional electrical designer. The primary role is the creation and modification of electrical drawings and documentation for the abatement electrical assemblies. The right candidate will have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, and being able to produce designs that are efficient and economical
  • PAYE - £20 - £23 p/h dependent on experience
    LTD - £26 - £30 p/h dependent on experience
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays

About the job   
  • Create and modifying electrical schematics
  • Create schematic symbols for use in AutoCAD Electrical
  • 2D drawings (Assembly/Layout drawings, Component drawings)
  • Wiring schedules and cutting lists to be used during production
  • Accurate Bills of Materials
  • Loom assembly drawings
  • Ensure high-quality designs and drawings are produced to the relevant international and industry standards
  • Good understanding of Engineering Change processes and appreciation of the knock-on effects design change has on other departments
  • Delivery of quality information to allow the creation of Manuals, Spares lists, Bills of Materials and any other input required by customers – internal and external
  • Work within timescales set by the Project Leader / Manager and communicate all issues or delays promptly
The right candidate       
  • A formal qualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience creating electrical documentation for assemblies
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical 2017 (3 years+)
  • Autodesk vault professional or similar data management software, Microsoft office word and excel
  • Knowledge of EN60204, NFPA 79, Semi S2 and DFM/DFA
  • Knowledge of Gas Abatement/Exhaust Management and/or the Semiconductor Industry would be an advantage.
