Salary Up to £25k depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for an Entry level position to support the HR Manager & Occupational Health Safety & Environmental Specialist for one of our prestigious clients on improving health and safety standards within their Merseyside based site. Working hours Monday - Friday 0800-1630. Our client offers flexibility to assist with childcare/ travel arrangements if needed.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
o Follow up accident/near miss paperwork and input the data
o Update EHS boards
o Carry out EHS audits and report results
o Produce and send EHS notices, posters and signs
o Produce, distribute & record EHS alerts
o Attend EHS Committee meetings. Take & distribute minutes & prepare content as directed by HR Manager
o Plan training as requested & liaise with HR and Managers for attendance
o Maintain FLT control database with expiry dates of Drivers MHE licences & liaise with Logistics Management to arrange training
o Update COSHH register and maintain
o Working with EHS UK Team to roll out wellbeing campaigns
o Support HR Manager with required admin relating to EHS
o Records / updates any accidents/near misses on the database or Postits
o Site waste audit
o Working on SAP to raise Purchase Requests
o Schedule and provide update for Green Table meeting
o Update accident database with hours work to establish severity and frequency rate
o Access electricity, gas and water web accounts & provide to Management for monthly KPI information
o Maintain a register of qualified First Aiders/Fire Marshals and ensure the adequate provision of first-aid and welfare facilities
o Working with the HR Manager & Engineering Manager to undertake initial risk assessments & complete appropriate paperwork
o Participate in new employee inductions and other HSE training initiatives
o Monitor and report Environmental KPI's including waste disposal to Management team for monthly KPI reporting
o Working closely with the HR Manager to ensure all EHS Administration on-site is accurate & displayed correctly

To be a successful EHS Administrator you will have the following skills and experience:

Basic understanding of environmental, health and safety within manufacturing (Desirable)
Previous administration experience (Essential)
Evidence of producing high quality of presentations & written communication (Essential)
Work to targets and deadlines within a fast pace environment
Experience of working within manufacturing/automotive (desirable)
Occupational Health & Safety Qualification - IOSH, NEBOSH (Desired)
Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel (Essential)
SAP or equivalent (Desirable)
5 x GCSE A - C or NVQs Level 2 or Equivalent (Minimum)
Team work, attention to detail, not afraid to question, to be able to speak to employees at all level
