Do you have experience of E-Learning systems within the Education sector?

Do you want to help create a business wide E-Learning plan and be responsible for its implementation?

If so, then we have the perfect role for you!

Training 2000 is at the heart of the Lancashire economy, developing talent and training the next generation.

As a business we are growing and an exciting opportunity has arisen for the newly created post of Educational Developer. The role that we are recruiting for is part of our IT team and will be fundamental in driving forward E-Learning across the business. Since the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic, here at Training 2000 we have rapidly expanded our existing e learning offer, adapted our programmes and implemented remote learning across all courses.

Whilst we have successfully implemented digital technology we now want to take this to the next level by enhancing the use of the current platforms, implementing further digital platforms and training our staff in how to use them for a fantastic learner experience – this is where the Educational Developer comes in.

The Role:

We are looking for someone who can help bring our E-Learning vision to life and we firmly believe that an Educational Developer will be able to drive forward our vision for now and the future by working with stakeholders from across the business. This role will also have the added advantage of working closely with UCLan as our parent company whilst driving the E-Learning agenda for Training 2000.

On a day to day basis, the Educational Developer will be required to work with a variety of stakeholders, from our delivery teams through to the senior team, to understand their requirements for E-Learning. They will need to be solutions focused and will understand any blockers to the use of E-Learning in the business, provide training to staff on the systems we have and look at what’s on the horizon for digital learning.

The successful candidate will be someone who has a keen interest in digital learning and has previous experience of implementing E-Learning systems. Previous experience of different VLE packages such as OneFile, Microsoft Teams or Blackboard is essential for this role.

Terms and Conditions

For this role, you will receive a salary of circa £30,000 and a competitive benefits package.

To give you an idea of our benefits, we want to ensure you have a good work life balance and therefore, they include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This entitlement will increase with over time to 32 days and you are also able to purchase up to 5 days extra per year. In addition to this, from the day you join, you will receive life assurance whilst employed at 4 x your annual salary. Finally, with pensions being an important part of peoples’ career, following 6 months service you will be entitled to enrol into our Group Private Pension scheme where we will match contributions up to 5%.

We know that everyone is unique in their own individual way and we are looking for people from all walks of life who will join our inclusive culture. We are committed to equality, diversity and access for all which makes Training 2000 a great place to work.

Safeguarding of our learners is at the heart of everything that we do. Therefore, due to having children (under 18’s) on our site, all appointments are subject to the receipt of a satisfactory enhanced child workforce disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS; formally the CRB), or a check via the Update Service on a relevant enhanced disclosure. Further information on these checks can be obtained from the Government website.
