GlobalData has a London-based, full-time position open in its Insights investigative news team. The candidates will join a team of healthcare reporters and analysts that focusses on breaking exclusive new stories and publishing deep-dive analysis on the most high-impact issues in the global healthcare market for a highly knowledgeable business subscriber base. The must at least general knowledge on the biopharmaceutical industry and drug development. Financial exposure is ideal.

This exciting and challenging position will include investigating and potentially writing about key situations in the drug development space, in a range of therapeutic areas, including the dynamic COVID-19 pandemic. Analyst responsibilities include in-depth research on upcoming R&D events like trial results and drug approvals, keeping on top of the latest medical evidence in a wide range of disease areas and generating reports.

This is a highly demanding but extremely rewarding job for an editorial analyst who is driven to dig into the science and unveil the truth. You can also work effectively in an interactive, time-sensitive and deadline-driven environment (often accommodating different global time zones), be adaptable to working independently as well as with a team-oriented reporting approach, and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.

What you will do and bring to the table

* Analyze events in the drug development R&D life cycle and their relationship to the financial markets

* Assemble data in a deadline-sensitive environment via strong secondary research skills

* Track healthcare and drug-development related news

* Compile relevant reports based on published articles

* Excellent communication, networking, writing and potentially interviewing skills required; an extra language would be a bonus

* Microsoft Office Suite experience

* 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferred; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply

* Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, preferred
