Job Description

Our House of Commons Nursery are seeking Early Years Educators to join their tight knit team. Located in Southwark, the nursery is an important community hub, providing much needed support for local families.

We are recruiting for an Early Years Educators who can create inspiring experiences for our children, whilst establishing a nurturing environment and encouraging bravery and curiosity in our children’s development. Our Early Years educators excel in teamwork and help support the nursery as it grows into a truly fascinating setting for our children.

The nursery is unique, catering exclusively for parents or carers who are either a Member of Parliament or their staff, House of Commons or PICT employee, House of Lords Peer or their staff, Press Gallery Media, Whitehall Parliamentary pass holder or Contractors situated on the Parliamentary estate.

Job Requirements

Full and relevant child care qualification at level 3 or above.

Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding and the ability to take the lead in vulnerable situations when required.

Senior experience working in an early year’s setting

To be a confident leader, articulating your ideas and using planning and preparation to ensure their success.

To distribute staff and resources effectively, maintaining ratios whilst supporting other rooms.

To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspiring others.
