Hours: 40 hours

Salary: £20,737 - £21,44 per annum

Qualification: Level 3+ in Early Years or equivalent

Location: Old Kent Road, London, SE15 1JB

Job Description

Our Bird in Bush Nursery is located in Southwark and has fantastic transport links to Central London and the surrounding areas, there is also free parking nearby. The nursery itself is a multi-cultured, friendly setting and has a large outdoor space which is used every day to extend experiences and knowledge in outdoor learning.

We are seeking an Early Years Educator to join our friendly, hard working team. As a LEYF teacher you will be expected to create inspiring experiences, whilst establishing a nurturing environment and encouraging bravery and curiosity in our children’s development. Our staff excel in teamwork and continue to support the nursery as it grows into a truly fascinating setting for our children.

Job Requirements

Full and relevant child-care qualification at level 3 or above
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
12 months experience working in an early year’s setting
To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspiring others
Have a passion for making a difference to the community
A child centred approach to teaching using creative and exciting methods to engage and stimulate

Working at Bird in Bush Nursery and Pre-school:

1 Baby Room, 1 Toddler Room, 1 Preschool
55 place Nursery
Opening Times: 7.30am-6.30pm
Over 2s garden comprises of a tool station, planting area, mud kitchen and enclosed climbing frame, tunnel, balancing beams.
The Old Kent Road will be under regeneration in the next few years to develop the Baker Loo line, the station will be a stone’s throw from the nursery.

Age Range: Birth-5 years
OFSTED Rating: Outstanding
