Pertemps are delighted to be working with one of its key clients in the Utilities sector who are seeking an experienced LMS Project Manager (ideally with E-learning developer experience) to support their busy L&D (Learning and development) Team in Central Reading, Berkshire.
The successful candidate will ensure the successful delivery of the new LMS (Learning Management System), ensuring full configuration, integration and support for key business projects. You may also help, if able, with the building of bespoke digital solutions using your design skills and working with our suppliers and the business SME's to create digital learning that supports the company's people strategy.
To be able to hit the ground running; previous experience in Saba or the integration of similar LMS software like Saba, Corner stone, SAP or Kallidus would be a distinct advantage.
The expected duration of this contract is 4 months paying a rate of £500 - £550 DOE.
Key areas of accountability will include:
LMS Project Management:
o Be the Project Manager controlling all 'LMS product' work. Work closely with the IT/Digital Project Manager to ensure product planning and the technical back-end work is aligned
o Ensure all the right people are involved in each critical phase
o Develop communications to key stakeholders at all key stages of the project
o Liaise with our internal Learning Consultants to develop leading edge digital content to enhance the effectiveness of key learning solutions
o Identifying the critical path elements of the project plan
o Stakeholder identification and timing of communications
o The points where additional support is required
o Identifying risks well in advance of them biting and deciding how to mitigate
Development of e-learning products:
o Produce and maintain detailed and accurate key content and project documentation including content outlines, storyboards, assessment material, asset lists and transcripts during the project lifecycle
o Implementation, configuration, and maintenance of mandatory online learning courses, maintaining and updating as required.
o Contribute to the set-up and management the day to day operation of the LMS and eLearning environments
o Decide on the methodology of training solutions to meet business requirements
o Decide on the prioritisation of digital training to meet business timeframes
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
o Considerable experience of project managing the implementing Learning Management Systems
o Excellent planning skills with the ability to manage diverse and complicated inter-relationships
o Excellent people skills with the ability to build, develop and maintain constructive working relationships across the business
o Considerable working knowledge and experience of implementing digital/e-learning training solutions
o Ability to extract expert knowledge and transform the ideas of business experts into digital content that is engaging, using good learning design principles to ensure excellent learner experiences
o Good analytical capability coupled with creativity to design new and innovative solutions for a wide range of learners.
o Good experience of using software to develop digital learning to include Articulate or Captivate.
