We are looking to recruit Duty Managers for our Aviation Experience site, these roles work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the smooth running of the day to day operation at this interesting venue and provide the site manager with full administrative support. We have a café, retail outlets and exhibitions and need a team of Duty Manager to ensure the supervision of staff, exceptional level of customer service and effective management across the three areas.

Main responsibilities

This role involves managing a team of around 20, you will be ensuring high levels of customer care for all visitors whilst ensuring compliance across health & safety and food safety. Working with and managing a team of exhibition assistants, you will increase employee engagement through training and development and by having regular catch ups and improving communication. HR administration tasks are also required to be completed on behalf of the team. Overseeing the day to day operation of either the café, retail outlets or the exhibitions, you will be in a responsible position, a key holder with autonomy to make decisions regards your area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked in catering or hospitality and has gained some supervisory experience.

Ideal candidate
  • Experience in catering / hospitality ideally in a public attraction.
  • Management of frontline teams
  • Cash handling experience
  • Experience of electronic trading systems, especially UDC and Eprophit
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience with the provision of food and beverages
  • Good communication skills
