Smart Teachers are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Design Technology Technician to join an 11 -18 school based within the heart of Redbridge. 

The school
The ideal candidate should demonstrate some experience within a similar role at the very least and be organised and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team. You will be expected to assist with the day to day running of technical support and the preparation of DT rooms. Experience using different forms of equipment across a technology department is a must.

To be considered for the DT Technician position, you will:

Be competent and confident using and maintaining the following equipment: CAD/CAM, Laser Cutter, band saw, circular saw, pillar drill, plastic forming equipment and other workshop equipment including being able to look after and maintain sewing machines and other equipment used with the Design Technology department.
Have referenceable experience working as a Design Technology Technician in UK secondary schools

Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (If Applicable) and professional reference checks
Legal right to work in the UK
