Job Description

A leading educational institute are recruiting for a Digital Project Manager (6 month fixed term contract) to deliver the web strategy for their distance and flexible learning programmes in line with the organisation's strategic objectives and ambitious growth targets.

The postholder will be part of the Marketing Team, be responsible for managing the website, including project managing continuous improvements and investigating new ways to improve user experience, engagement and overall quality of our content. The successful candidate will also make a significant contribution to the strategic use of web analytics and reporting. The role requires working alongside a number of colleagues and stakeholders and will suit an individual with excellent technical as well as interpersonal and influence skills.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract, working full time hours, paying circa £44,000 pro rata. This role will be based in central London (Euston / King's Cross area).

Core duties of the Digital Project Manager include:

" Contribute to the development and implementation of web and digital strategy, working with the Marketing Director and with the Senior Leadership Team to integrate and align it
" To take overall ownership and responsibility for the management and evolution of the global section of the website
" To manage key stakeholder relationships and work with colleagues across the network and associations to communicate changes and to ensure effective training is in place and guidance and resource are upto-date
" To work effectively with all stakeholders to ensure consistent quality standards across the web presence, with particular focus on user experience and engagement
" To oversee the web content strategy to ensure content is engaging and accurate. This will include overseeing regular planned audits to ensure content is up to date and compliant with all necessary regulations.
" To implement and maintain a strategy for search engine optimisation
" To deliver regular analytical and evaluation reports to inform digital developments; this will include developing key measurements to track and communicate the effectiveness and development of our digital projects that can be shared with a broad range of internal stakeholders
" To monitor and assess website analytics data, and gain more in-depth user insights and feedback from users; for example, through the use of surveys and UX tools. Draw on other areas of research and insights - such as e-marketing data and reports from our retained advertising agency - to help improve user journeys, engagement and conversions.
" To manage the web budget and third party suppliers to ensure that they deliver project support on time and to budget
" To manage the Web Team, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and delivered, helping prioritise its workload and developing clear personal development plans for team members


Essential requirements:

" A proven track record of successfully managing web sites / digital strategies
" Ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders in a professional manner
" Good leadership skills - ability to lead and develop a team
" Experience of managing and delivering change management.
" Ability to work effectively under pressure
" Ability to manage contracts with third party suppliers, and ensure that they deliver continued value for money for the organisation
" Expertise in delivering digital projects, with experience of content management systems, information management system and third party system integration. Working with technical specialists and recent digital developments
" Strong working knowledge of web analytics
" Working knowledge of webmaster tools and CMS platforms preferably; SharePoint and Drupal.
" A knowledge and understanding of the digital marketing mix, including SEO and affiliate marketing
" Advanced writing skills - able to write and disseminate information to different audiences, through different channels of communication.
" Strong drafting and editing skills for use across a range of digital media
