Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are DATA (The Design and Technology Accreditation) and a minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a DT Technician role within a Secondary School.
Vision for Education is currently recruiting knowledgeable and health and safety conscious Technician to work within the Design and Technology and Art department of a large Sheffield Secondary school. You will need to be DATA Accredited or equivalent, and have up to date Health and Safety training to allow you to work with the machinery within the department.
This is a supply role, and therefore is an ongoing supply requirement, potentially up until the Christmas break, or ongoing until the right candidate has been found for a permanent position.
As a DT and Art technician, you will be responsible for setting up lessons, health and safety checks, checking of machinery, setting up machinery, and supporting with the preparation of learning resources for the department. Some demonstrations and classroom work may be involved.
To be considered for the position of DT and Art Technician, you will:
Have at least 1 years’ experience working in a school setting within this role.
Hold an in date DATA Accreditation.
Have up to date Health and Safety training.
Have experience supporting in Secondary schools.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Educational specialists.
