The Combat System Design Change Engineer role is based within our Engineering Services Maritime Mission Systems business area.

The role

The difference our new Combat System Design Change Engineer will make

As a Combat System Design Change Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Focussed on supporting the Royal Navy's in-service combat systems, trusted to deliver and sustain the fight function to ensure mission ready submarines.

Day to day, you'll manage the production of design change installation instructions. You may be required to produce technical documentation 2D and 3D CAD drawings. You'll also provide technical support and advice to engineering issues.

This role provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 1 day in the office/onsite and up to 4 days working from home. You must be flexible to travel to other sites as and when required.

Essential experience
Experience of producing technical documentation and using a variety of design packages e.g. 2D & 3D CAD
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering based discipline or Foundation Degree/HND with demonstrable experience
To be working towards or be an Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
Member of relevant professional engineering body or working towards this
Be trusted to investigate, develop and offer technical recommendations on real engineering challenges to our customer
The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role. You must be a British National
