We're looking for an experienced, passionate and committed Deputy Manager in Southampton to help ensure the operational success of a 59 bedded nursing home. As the Deputy Manager, you'll be working supporting the Manager with the nursing team to make people's lives as fulfilled and meaningful as possible. This full-time care role comes with a salary of £48,672, along with some great company benefits.
Your primary responsibilities in this Deputy Manager role will include:
. Deputising for the Registered Manager as and when required.
. Providing motivational leadership and line management responsibilities to the nursing team
. Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and clinical support they require
. Act as a mentor to new and exsiting nursing team, updating care plans, and maintaining accurate records
It will also be part of your job to train, mentor and support new staff and identify any training or development needs of the existing team and ensure these are met and documented appropriately. You may have to work outside regular working hours when business needs require it, which could include weekend duties and the occasional night shift.
Requirements for this Deputy Manager role include:
. Previous experience working with clients who qualify for continuing healthcare funding
. Comprehensive knowledge of CQC assessment criteria for excellent and outstanding scores
. Management experience within the healthcare sector
. Enhanced DBS disclosure.
