Depot Manager (Days, Mon - Fri) 
Lochgilphead

We have an excellent opportunity for a Depot Manager to join our Highland Parcels team! Our team are responsible for delivering world-class service and time critical parcels to our customers located throughout Scotland.

You will build and maintain strong working relationships with all colleagues and provide the senior leadership team with operational updates relating to best practices, regulatory updates, training, contractor controls and operational efficiencies.

You’ll be responsible for coaching, training and motivating - The team will look for you to develop a culture of success through positive team engagement, great communications and hands-on leadership resulting in your team continually delivering challenging Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

Depot Manager Duties:

Review team performance and ensuring measures are put in place to
Delivering on KPI’s and profitability
Recruit, manage and motivate staff to achieve operational objectives
Participate in the evaluation and review of policies and procedures as and when required
Assist in managing the recruitment and development of the team, ensuring all members are totally focused on delivering exceptional levels of performance
Ensure the team are working within a performance culture
Manage performance through a full communication process including supervision, quality checks, appraisal and regular 121’s
Assist in the management of colleagues Personal Development Plans in order to improve their skills and performance.
Work in conjunction with the regional health & safety advisor to ensure all staff and contractors are trained to undertake their duties effectively, efficiently and safely
Assist in ensuring branch reports for internal and external use are accurate and relevant
Manage and motivate the team to meet customer timescales and improved productivity
Prepare handover report at the end of shift addressing any issues
Monitor, investigate and respond to customer queries, complaints and escalations
Ensure all company standards are implemented and maintained
Ensure the Health and Safety of colleagues
Keep the warehouse safe, clean and tidy

Depot Manager Requirements:

Self-motivation and resilience
Management experience is essential
Team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Excellent communication and coaching skills
Ability to control costs and availability of stock
Commercially and target driven
