Job Description

Cyber Security Engineer

This Company In 2019 we were awarded The Sunday Times Top Track 250, the LSE Group's 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain
We put people at the centre of everything we do, and we embrace innovation and technology to be sustainable leaders in our industry. We could not have achieved these accolades without our technology team and the 90+ bespoke, SaaS and off-the-shelf software products we use.
Our vision is that by 2025 our technology platforms will support a happy workforce of more than 10,000 staff
The role
We are seeking a cybersecurity engineer to help us deliver our vision and serve our customers securely and reliably. As the first dedicated cybersecurity engineer in the business, you will play the leading role in driving the direction of our security engineering capability towards a substantially increased cybersecurity posture. Your initial key tasks will be to:
Perform a comprehensive audit of our current cybersecurity measures and posture using a respected framework such as NIST CSF or similar.
Identify required improvements and prioritise them in a roadmap.
Lead and significantly hands-on assist with implementation of the roadmap.

Importantly, the roadmap should not be just about selection and implementation of the requisite technologies, but also re-engineering of our cybersecurity procedures and educating our team (IT as well as wider end-user population) on cybersecurity.
We are an equal opportunities employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
About you
10+ years' experience in roles where you performed the same initial key tasks for a similar tech estate and extent (mostly on-premises Windows-based servers and desktops, Azure, some Linux - about 70 servers, 800 users, 1200 end-user devices).
One or more relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP or equivalent and, ideally, a good degree in a computing or related discipline.
Reasonable exposure to the essentials (firewalls, anti-malware, IDS/IPS, etc.) and the advanced (EDR, MDM, SIEM, DLP, etc.) for both on-prem and cloud.
Substantial experience with the Microsoft family of cybersecurity products such as Microsoft EMS.

Why you will love us
Competitive benefits including bonus twice a year (May & Nov), free gym including classes, holiday purchase scheme, share options and life insurance.
Flexible working policy: Even when the current covid-19 restrictions are lifted, we can accommodate a mix of home vs. office working. You will work with some other
