Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a customer care specialist for a prestigious company based in Aston.

Main duties include:

Upkeep of vessel data, including updating arrivals, and amending the arrival times, using the port websites, to ensure the last free quay dates are updated and maintained

Updating stock reports from our storage facilities

Checking for previous days failures, to check if they need to be moved into storage, ensuring that they have been rebooked

Cross reference idle reports, when container have been on / off quay for a long period of time, ensuring the bookings are still current or chase hauliers for empty return information

Update storage costs from daily reports

Other duties include:

Planning off dock containers, going through the system working out what can be moved off quay based on the costs to leave on quay / shunt for storage

Scheduling off dock containers for specific customers

Advising hauliers of off dock information for specific hauliers / customers

Checking for shipments from India / USA to highlight different free time agreements

Possible holiday cover / assistance;

Charges, charging the customers based on our tariff or agreed customer rates for quay rent / detention, accruing costs from shipping lines for quay rent / detention

Invoices, cross referencing the invoices against our system to ensure correct and passing them for payment, raising disputes/chasing hauliers for empty return information
