Adecco are currently recruiting for CREMATORIUM ASSISTANTS to work for a Local Authority in KINGSTON-UPON-THAMES.

SHIFT BASIS (8AM TO 8PM)

TEMPORARY ROLE

£12.80 PER HOUR PAYE / £15.82 PER HOUR UMBRELLA

The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation presents an unprecedented upheaval. Our current workforce is working tirelessly to help and protect the vulnerable in our community.

There has been a huge increase in demand on our services. We are making provisions to offer a 7 day a week service from 8am-8pm to manage the anticipated increased demand and we are looking for staff to join us in serving our community.

This is a varied role and will involve many aspects of site operations; including the operation of the cremators, liaising with Funeral Directors, providing administration support, and overseeing services in the chapel. As such, we are seeking a highly flexible, driven individual who has excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing the highest level of care to the bereaved.

TIME COMMITMENT

Staff will be required to work shift patterns as mortality rate peaks. A revised rota system is currently being established.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

You will be assisting with the funeral arrangements for clients, prepare the deceased for cremation, and supervise and assist the proceedings of funerals.

Using your skills and experience you will help vulnerable people during this unprecedented time. You will support essential tasks and reduce the pressure on the Bereavement Service.

With your expertise we can help those in distress at this difficult time.

KEY TASKS

You will be assisting the Crematorium Technicians with their duties and being available to ensure that there is no solo working.

You also will be handling coffins and preparing cremated remains for storage or disposal.
