Job Description

My client, based in Tewkesbury, is looking for a Cost Estimator to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for join a company that is a leading manufacturer in their field.

Your main duties will include:

*Pricing individual RFQs and providing quotations via email directly to customers and/or internal personnel as required
*Providing quotations within 24 hours of receipt unless extenuating circumstances exist e.g. Technical queries, awaiting a supplier response
*Accurately inputting new product specifications into the company's integrated manufacturing and management system
*Adding new customer details and amending, making technical engineering changes and adding in information regarding times/materials/prices
*Acting as a point of contact for customers with quotation queries
*Following up outstanding quotes with customers
*Maintaining and updating required records including material laminate costs and central quotation spreadsheets
*Daily Contract Review Meetings - providing the required technical specifications for each RFQ
*Providing cover for the Sales Administrator when required
oAnswering order queries
oInforming customers of any delivery issues
*Upholding company core values at all times
*Any other tasks, in line with your skills and experiences, you may be instructed to carry out
*Ensuring you adhere to the company's Environmental Policy
*Keeping relevant documentation and systems up to date
*Reporting any problems to the Head of Operations and/or the Area/Line Manager that may arise, such as resource equipment/personnel or capacity issues, etc.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar position and will have:

*Excellent communication skills
*Professional and personable telephone manner
*Excellent IT skills - especially using Microsoft Excel
*Team player

Hours of Work: Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm & Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm

Salary: £23,000 - £24,000 per annum DOE
