The difference our new Cost Engineer will make
As a Cost Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you'll be responsible for the accurate tracking of actuals against forecasting and variance analysis within a number of projects working with our client EDF, supporting Project Managers with production analysis of cost performance and overall outturn.
Day to day, you'll focus on maintaining and controlling scope/budgets for the projects with forecasting and actual costs against them, providing necessary commentary. You will also support the Project Managers with the provision of change management and risk & opportunity management.

Extensive recent and relevant experience within a cost engineering/control role within a relevant business sector
Extensive experience applying budgeting & cost control in a complex environment
Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3-4/JCT etc.) including resolution of claims and disputes
Knowledge of cost management techniques, earned value management and estimating and can demonstrate a high level of experience with Microsoft Excel
Good understanding of financial implications, which affect profit and loss accounts, balance sheet and cash
Must be able to achieve SC clearance (BPSS to start)
