Control Systems Engineer

A Control Systems Engineer is required by an established company in specialist automated solutions.
The Controls Engineer will be a part of the Controls team, as such you will be responsible for machine tool programming and installation as well as assisting the team in developing new products. This will involve designing PLC software from scratch and/or modification of existing software.

Role – Control Systems Engineer

Salary – Circa £40,000

Location – Staffordshire

About the role

• Designing PLC /HMI from scratch and/or modify existing software for projects
• Understand and work to customer specifications
• Prepare electrical and fluidics BOM's;
• Machine installation and commissioning at customer sites (UK and overseas)
• Producing technical documentation
• Liaise with Project Management and Sales, provide sales support

About the person
• PLC programming - Siemens S7
• HMI programming - Siemens WinCCflexible
• understanding of safety circuits
• Design and modification of schematics using AutoCAD / EPlan
• Knowledge of electrical standards for machinery design
