Our client is Northern Powergrid, based in Penshaw. Their vision is to be the best energy company in serving their customers whilst delivering sustainable energy solutions. They are looking for Contact Centre Advisors to be part of their busy and fast based 24/7/365 Contact Centre.
To succeed in this role you must have the passion and drive to deliver a 10/10 conversation with their customers, in line with their Quality Framework. When their employees do a great job, they like to celebrate success.
You will be working on shift patterns which will cover NIGHT SHIFTS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS and DAY SHIFT between Monday and Sunday, equating to 37 hours per week. You must be flexible to work within a 24 hour shift pattern. The hourly rate for this position is paying between £10.82 - £11.56 depending on experience.
You will also be part of their R&R scheme which rewards great customer service. After 6 months tenure there is the opportunity of a permanent contract if you have demonstrated the right behaviours. Given the nature of the business flexibility may be needed, if it is overtime is paid at very attractive rates.
Strong customer service and telephone skills are essential, with the ability to deal with incoming and outgoing calls. Previous call centre experience is desirable; however we would consider candidates from a retail background who've worked in a customer facing role.

Duties will include:
" Taking calls from the general public related to power cuts, faults and emergency calls
" Taking relevant information from the customer and inputting the details on to the database
" Liaising with engineers
" Keeping both the engineers and customers updated throughout
" Complaints handling
