Job Description

Do you want to work in a friendly, committed and established Mental Health service, where your knowledge and skills will be valued? Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working with people with Mental Health conditions? If so, then join the team at The Farndon Unit and experience what delivering great healthcare should feel like.

This permanent Consultant Psychiatrist position (37.5 hours per week)will see you join the established multidisciplinary team at The Farndon Unit in Newark. The Farndon has 47 beds - 32 across the low secure provision and 15 rehabilitation beds.

You will act as a Responsible Clinician for inpatients across either the low secure or the rehabilitation wards, which will see you have CCT in General Adult or Forensic psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.

You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing trauma therapy and utilises positive behavioural support to empower and assist service users in their recovery.

The Farndon Unit is located in Newark and is part of IMPACT Provider Collaborative in the region with close links to NHS services with established care pathways. The Farndon Unit has excellent transport links and is commutable from Lincoln, Nottingham, Sleaford and Mansfield.
