Part time and full time working arrangements available.
As we moved forward into the next phase of the Covid pandemic, a Director of Public Health for a local authority in the Midlands is seeking an experienced Public Health professional to assist with business as usual activity relating to children's public health, as well as help with health protection and the running of the new asymptomatic testing pathway.
Your role as Consultant in Public Health
Assisting and supporting the Director of Public Health in leading on improving the wellbeing of the local residents, taking responsibility for the strategic objects set out by the authority and the Health & Wellbeing Board, specifically those related to Track & Trace reporting formats, schedules and risk management.
Additionally you will be supporting areas not affected directly by the Covid-19 pandemic, leading on population health protection and other projects, whilst you interpret national policies and guidance to ensure good practice
You will share out of hours emergency responsibility with your fellow public health colleagues in response to emergency outbreak events.
To be considered for this post you will:
Be a registered public health consultant and be included on the UKPHR or GMC / GDC Specialist Register.
Have past experience working within a local authority public health directorate.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Be expected to work across organisations and be able to influence budgets held by stake holders as well as advocate for change effectively.
