Working on the Hinkley Point C project is an exciting opportunity for any construction professional. It is one of the largest and most significant infrastructure projects in the UK, contributing to the country's low-carbon future and meeting its energy demands. Being part of the MEH Alliance, you will play a crucial role and work alongside industry-leading experts.

The Role

As a Construction Planner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be accountable to the Lead Planner and construction leads, responsible for managing the detailed site construction schedules for Hinkley Point C mechanical, electrical & HVAC installation at the site. Your expertise in planning will be instrumental in ensuring compliance within the project integrated work schedule & detailed task order schedules.

Key Responsibilities
Provide and update weekly planning data in project controls systems
Produce detailed planning reports at level 5 & 6 to support construction teams
Identify quantities and factors affecting the program from live information at the site
Identify planning scope, major constraints, and contract requirements
Establish and agree with all relevant stakeholders construction outputs and associated working hours
Establish and agree with stakeholders' key methods of construction, sequencing, installation, and handover to commissioning
Produce and document the planning deliverables, including programs, planning philosophy, presentations, and reports
Produce adhoc detailed schedules (lifting, temporary works schedules e.g. CBS, scaffolding, etc.)
Site schedule reporting

Essential Experience
Experience of planning services within large-scale projects
Primavera P6
Understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents, and specifications, including JCT, NEC, or bespoke forms of Construction Contracts
Understanding of various methods of planning, programming, and progress monitoring
Understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, and labor requirements
Experience working with 4D planning is desirable
OND/HND in a relevant subject is desirable, as is Professional membership of one or more of the following: RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE

This role is full-time and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
