This is an outstanding opportunity to take a lead position on corporate communications in a highly successful business that operates within the Aerospace and Maritime Defence sectors.
The role would largely involve both internal and external communications management as well as supporting the development of financial and investor material. For internal communications this would mean reaching out globally on a global scale to c.5000 people across upwards of 15 business units. Externally, communications would be aimed at government bodies (Not just UK) and significant global defence contractors.
This position will be based long term in Central London, however there will be a requirement for occasional travel to meet the needs of the business and to communicate via all channels effectively.
The 3 major aspects of this position are as follows:
*Communicate with employees globally
*Channel management - that will include maintenance (experience in Office tools desirable, SharePoint in particular)
*Support of Internal communications strategy, co-ordinate organisational news
*Traveling to different business units to encourage use and creation of case studies
*Support drafting of management change communications
*Update Investor and Media sections of the Group website
*Responsible for developing the Group press release process
*Approve and support the production and distribution of Group and business press releases
*Manage and administer Group social media accounts
*Ensure consistent messaging across PR, IR and Internal communications channels
*Helping to manage Group relationships with external PR agencies
Financial & Investor Relations:
*Project management of Annual Report & Account production
*Support organisation of analyst and investor events
*Support and drive the preparation of all investor communications including press releases, presentations, briefing notes, Q&As etc.
*Help develop the IR programme and strategy
*Support responses to incoming investor enquiries
*Attend investor meetings where appropriate and log all relevant information
*Track and circulate internally relevant company and competitor news flow
