The Communications Engineer role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The role

The difference our new Communications Engineer will make

As a Communications Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring that the transmitters, receivers and associated control equipment perform to operational requirements.

Day to day, you'll support the engineering team in all operational and technical matters, report incidents or hazards which have led or may lead to injury, maintain technical and administrative records and provide information as required and be proactive in the Safety & Health of self and others who may be affected by work activities. You'll also have an adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with your responsibilities, observing safe working practices as advised and instructed.

Essential experience
Qualified to BTEC National Diploma in Engineering (Electronic / Electrical) or equivalent.
Initial SC Security clearance, following by DV security clearance.
Basic record of proven ability in related work.
Ability to demonstrate competence in operational and maintenance duties.
Competent in solving technical issues and aware of future technical developments.
You must have SC clearance and be able to achieve DV clearance
